Pastor Gary Gilbertson is the new pastor of City Light Church effective April 15, 2024.
Pastor Gary and Wife Stella
Gary and Stella Gilbertson have been ministering together since 1971. Gary, a visionary, always "stretches the tent pegs" of their ministry and now Northfield has become their primary focus again. Gary previously pastored City Light Church (then New Covenant Church) for 22 years before founding a college ministry called Prepare Ministries where he is still involved after 24 years.
Gary became a Christian while attending the University of Minnesota and graduated from the Dallas Theological Seminary with a Master of Theology.
Gary and Stella have been married 52 years and have 4 adult children and 15 grandchildren. Stella, a teacher and intercessor, has won many national cooking contests and this skill has blessed many people who have enjoyed their hospitality.

What We Believe
